Building curtain wall

Description

A self-supporting structure 51 metres long and 6.3 metres high, built to protect an existing public building from high winds.

The building's location on Reunion Island required it to be designed to withstand the extreme wind speeds of tropical cyclones.

Prefabricated light steel structure connected to heavy welded structural columns.

Magnelis-coated steel to prevent rusting caused by the salty winds of the nearby ocean (Arcelor guarantees a lifespan three times longer than ordinary galvanizing).

Shipment in a sea container, managed by Stabiframe.
